New API Version is Now Active World-Wide

May 16, 2019 — Aerohive has released a new instance of the API! New features include endpoints to:

  • On-board and delete devices from device inventory by serial number
  • Configure existing SSID's and get information on SSID's
  • Get all active alarms from HiveManager

Also included in the latest HiveManager is new handling for API tokens. Access tokens will be valid for only 30 days by default. However, when creating a token within HiveManager the administrator will be able to select an alternative expiration length from 1-365 days. Aerohive recommends using the lowest validity token possible and leveraging the refresh token for the most secure implementaion in your scripts and applications.

Also note, all /v1/clientlocation endpoints have been removed from documentation. Please utilize only /v2/clientlocation endpoints and update any existing application using the old /v1 instances. The old /v1 instances will be officially deprecated within the next 45-60 days.
